LOL, don't get too excited - it's been getting mixed-to-low reviews from the French. XD
Then again, from what I've about the test screenings, casual audience members seem to enjoy it, while the critics seem to dislike it.
So I'm hoping that 9 is one of those films that critics hate because it's so advent-garde and out-of-the-box in comparison to most other animated features. From what I've heard and seen so far, it's not your stereotypical, talking animal Disney flick, and critics may not like that...
Who knows... I'm just hoping that 9 does well in the box office. The animation industry here REALLY needs to start pushing itself into more mature, intellectual territory.

Well, hopefully it is very enjoyable to the general public. Personally, I don't mind too much what critics say since I don't really know anything about film.
Unfortunately, most people here don't believe that animation can be mature or intellectual even though the only basic difference between live action and animation is whether or not you see the actors.

YES!!! This movie looks epic!!! In fact, it's my most hyped-up movie of the year!!! I'm hoping it turns out to be good though, despite the mixed reviews its been getting recently...
Ponyo looks great as well though! Can't wait to see that!
