ENTRY FOR CLassicNightmare 's CONTEST.

======================================================================================

Inspired by the main theme of this contest; [Welcoming Spring] ; i decided to create a scene where a winter-y atmosphere gradually changes into spring atmosphere; thus the idea of a late spring.

Therefore, bluish tint is used on the foreground and yellow-orange-ish tint in the background (scanner kinda ruined the colors though;;; )

Some of the things scattered around the boy are inspired by songs (mostly vocaloid, you may guess lol) I listened to during the making of this artwork lol

also the dove in the background is a reference from a tale in the Bible (its pretty obvious, but you may guess too winkwonk).

The music sheets under the oil lamp contains the strings arrangement for Vivaldi's 'Spring' (from The Four Seasons).

Artwork is done on A4 Canson Watercolor Pad using Pentel and Koi watercolours and Reeves watercolour brushes.
Some color corrections are done in Photoshop.
