just a little update, I'm working on a dark gtk3 theme based on the fedora colour palette (fedoraproject.org/wiki/File:Fe… )
turns out it's a fairly good exercise to learn css. the idea behind it being an easy-on-the-eyes look, with subtle gradients to make it stand out against the plethora of ultra flat themes on the theme store (which don't get me wrong, a lot of them look amazing, but I think there are too few themes with a bit of depth to them).

also visible here is an icon pack i'm working on, also based around the same palette - the finished version will include several different colour options for folders. (blue, orange, purple, green, pink, blue-grey and greyscale)
