Ranakpur, India. Both layers in this shot are from the ancient Jain temple in Ranakpur. It was quite a trip to get there, driving in a beat up car through ancient rural villages and along 3rd world roads all day at about 20 km/ hour. The Beatles trip to India in the 1960s came to mind, but our trip was not so clean and sweet smelling. The trip also reinforced my respect and understanding of cultures different from our own, and of the humanity that creates these wonders.
