Of course, I think this is wonderful. Who wouldn't? Looks great with the gun, I'd like a peg leg and parrot, but I agree with olya and think it would change the scene, so don't bother changing, it's great as is.

... tight humorous cartooning as per usual, FD... it's always difficult to comment on your work without sounding so "glowing with praises" so I'll stop myself short on this one...
... one tip I've always taken to heart from published cartoonists and animators (those crusty ol' professionals that have done it for decades) is in the power of the silhouette while staging your poses: if you can fill your figure entirely with black and still identify him and what he's doing, then you've succeeded in creating a lasting impression, something that's easily identifiable at a glance...

He definitely looks like the quintessential pirate. All he needs now is a parrot. Well, maybe not. It would certainly be funny, but wouldn't look right. It would've also been cool if you had braided his beard, like the famous Blackbeard. Though that might make him look more like a devilish pirate rather than a raider.
