Great lighting and contrast, as usual. I can't decide if the hands bother me or not -- I sort of agree with both observations that have already been made. One thing I really like, though, is the way the chains trail off at the bottom of the image. They help to ground the figure in the frame, I think.

cool image
im a bit disturbed by it
its SOOOO symetrical
i thought youd mirrored it until i took a carful look
im not bothered by the crop of the hands it ties him into the image like hes clasping the edges

LOL! I'm glad it looked that symmetrical. That was part of the appeal of the shot

I love the symmetry and the lighting is fantastic! It's an awesome shot but it's just a pity about the hands being chopped off at the sides. Really stunning though!

*nod* Yep. hands are a bit of a bitch, but oh well. they shouldn't be the main focus of the shot. I have some with the hands in, but the rest of the shot just worked so well for me.

Yeah, a necessary sacrifice.

Outstanding Johann. Great control of light. You just know I have a problem with the chopped off hands though But I love the rest of it. Well done.

Yep! I agree with the hands. Unfortunate dodgy composition
It's the little things like that that I still need to look out for. I need to learn to shoot wider, so I don't get that problem. But then cropping afterwards costs me resolution.
So much to learn still

...it's fun to learn. But as I said, it's still a great shot.
