Description After the tournament (which I managed to win), I took my bike and went back on my way home.

Which wasn't easy, mind you. I had to lug a huge trophy back, not to mention the prizes I wasn't expecting to win.

I reached the bridge from before. There was a fence blocking off the forest, where I had met Max.

Then I noticed there was a patched hole, about my size. So I walked over.

It fell off when I tapped it lightly.

Wow. Engineering, ya gotta love it. Whoever did this was no professional.

I decided to pay Max a little visit, so I went through the hole and started searching for the statue.

It took me almost an hour, but I found it. It was still pushed aside, the hallway beneath exposed to the world.

I poked my head down. The portal was gone. Huh.

Then Max's voice sounds from behind me. "Zack? Why'd you come back here?”

I laugh. "Nice seeing you again. I wanted to come and say hi for once. Oh yeah, I won the tournament!"

Max stares. "Well... you really are something, huh?”

Shrugging, I reply. "Honestly, I just brought my A game. There was a pro gamer there, but he thought it was going to be a cakewalk, so I kinda destroyed him."

Max laughs. "Glad to see you've got something in you. Anyways, I need your help. Remember how I said you were important?”

I back up sheepishly. "Um, first, you're paraphrasing, and second, how important am I... again?"

Max grabs my hand, and I hear the portal open. "Listen, Zack, I don't know who our enemy is, but Arceus said you were important. And I don't go against him for numerous reasons. So just go along with it.”

I pull back before he can drag me into the portal. "Hang on, are we going to your dimension?"

He chuckles. "Nope. We have our own problems, the other two... in my dimension... have theirs. Our opponent is going to show up sometime soon, and you're the key to stopping him.”

I grin. "Dangerous adventure through multiple dimensions with some mysterious power? Sounds good to me!"

And I'm dragged into another dimension.

Now, let me change perspective for a moment.

Nearby that bridge, something was happening.

"I finally got rid of that gnat, let's go see how that tournament went... without him."

A figure in a black hoodie sits at a computer. The tournament was videotaped and posted on YouTube by that pro gamer.

He sits in the shadows, yet a nasty grin shows on his face.

The grin turns to a mixed expression of shock and anger as he sees me defeating everyone in the tourney.

His annoyed voice echoes through his near-empty room. "He survived that? He fell off the bridge! Now what?"

His screen suddenly goes crazy. The icons on his desktop change into pixelated masses of unknown origin. YouTube no longer looks like a website, rather just a pixel artist who fell asleep on the touchscreen.

The figure jumps back. "Gyah! Another one?"

A image of Missingno. is barely discernable from the messed-up screen. "Well, well. Looks like I finally got you.”

The figure looks toward the screen like it's a message. "So he finally cracked my IP address. Looks like I'll have to get a new computer, then I'll take his entire server down."

The voice from the computer sounds again. "This is no hack, Fenric. This is-“

Fenric, the figure in shadows, yells at the computer. "So you figured out the microphone too, huh? You're gonna pay for this!"

Once again, the voice returns, far more annoyed than before. "For goodness sake. Maybe I shouldn't give you a shot at revenge if you're this crazy.”

Fenric stops yelling to think about what's going on. "A shot at revenge? How far did you go into my personal data?"

The voice continues. "This isn't a hack, okay?! And it's a shot at revenge on your enemy, that Zack Wright.”

Fenric stares at the screen. "How do you know about Zack?! I never put a thing in there about him!"

A portal opens inside the empty room. "Don't worry about that. Go through the portal and I'll give you just what you need to destroy him.”

So Fenric reluctantly heads through the portal.

This little event is a major footnote in my little adventure.

We haven't seen the last of him.
