Wham! Y'all didn't expected to have a double deviantation today, did you? This time it's the main character himself, the Male Traveller, also known as "Aether".

I gotta say that he was at first kind of challenging on how i was thinking of portraying him, but then it came to me the idea of basing him off from multiple media, most notably Doom (from 2016 to Eternal and it's DLCs), alongside other pieces of media like Metal Hellsinger (banger soundtrack), Dusk (also a banger soundtrack), Dante's Inferno (Italian pride right here) and Wayne Barlowe's Inferno (neat book). The main body shape was shaped and based after the Imp from Doom 2016 and shape it off in order to mimic Aether's clothing, like his boots, exposed belly, gloves and right shoulder pad, while for his iconic sword, i took off from some biblical elements like agnels and archangels using flaming swords, and so i integrated that element into his body, capable of "activating" the sword when he needs, similar thing to his "flame on his head" where it kinda mocks the halo of angels. Another interesting part of his design is the "sigil" engraved on his chest, the trait of sigils is loosely based after Barlowe's Inferno, and since all "demons" in this universe, must have at least one sigil engraved or floating above them (and on fire for good measure), so that they remain more "consistent" with one another.

regarding his comat style, since the AU is called "Hell on Earth", i thought it was neat giving Aether some Earth weapons too, it's called "Hell on Earth" for a reason after all, not just his trusty all-cutting flame sword and stolen enemy weapons, this is where the inspiration from Dusk comes to play, i imagine him using lever action shotguns, desert eagles, assault rifles (whom it acts more like a machinegun) and the legendary demon slayin gun itself, the double barrel shotgun (just like what the Doomguy and Dusk Dude use), or also known by the real cultured men as the super shotgun, from here i also want to deviate and add a few more things to his arsenal, like actual assault rifles (M14s to be more precise), submachine guns, sniper rifles, you name it.
