ok huge vent ahead
i’ve always actually found Ghetsis more attractive,more interesting and less clichéd than his son N. the latter is really annoying and unappealing to me,and while i do not hate him either,his fanbase is something utterly toxic.
ghetsis is seriously badass,cunning and intelligent,not to mention he’s actually not as evil as people think of him to be (he saved three people’s lives bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wik… ),and it’s actually unlikely that he mistreated N as a child. in fact,the latter was shocked when he found out his father was using him as an exploit.
there are giovanni and lusamine (consider that i actually love lusamine as well) which did way worse; their children (silver,lillie and gladion) were biological and younger than ghetsis’s,and they actually ran away from home to escape their parents. n was literally treated as if he were a king—no matter if truly felt or not,he did not receive any abuse.
and by the way,the “fact” that apparently Ghetsis tries to “murder” the player is actually disconfirmed and stated to be a mistranslation. see the related piece of trivia here m.bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/w… for proof.
