Description
Betcha didn't expect this kinda post, huh? But you know... it had to happen someday. It is with a heavy heart that as of the completion of Imagine, I am formally renouncing Zilly as my Main OC. Same goes with my main cat characters. This is to make room for my newest characters, The Triple Ms. You may have seen them around.
Do not fret. Zilly will still now and always be my OC. She will just not be my main one. I will still accept fanart for her and any cat character I have.
Here's some very short history in memory of Zilly.
For the last seven years, Zilly has been my mascot here on G3T-ZILLYF1ED , bringing smiles. Her quirky and fun design never failed to catch the eyes of many. And sometimes, even the hearts. I even named one of my real life cats after her. She's had such an impact on my life.
It all started in the fifth grade, about early 2013. I was a loner, I never really fit in with a group. Back then (and still today), I enjoyed being alone. I liked to draw, so during recess I would stay behind and sketch characters of my own design. I then created a character that would soon become this pink cat you see here. She was purr-fect. For months, I didn't have a name for her, so I just called her "Pink cat". Eventually, though, something clicked in my brain when I sent her on silly adventures. Her name would be Silly, but with a more unique sound. So when I reversed the S... It became Zilly. And that was her name!
Zilly was like my best (and only) friend, getting me through tough times in middle school (if you know my history, you know that I was heavily bullied in middle school. I have severe Autism, so it couldn't be helped, sadly). Life was very hard on me.
I had many genius ideas revolving around her, I gave her a family, love, and personality over time. Eventually, she became the trademark character.
As I got to high school, I kept drawing with her, albeit rather infrequently. Though she was my go-to when drawing any character, alongside her fiancée Marcie. These two dominated my account when it came to art.
Today, I have drawn Zilly for potentially the last time in a long while (at least in her cat form). And she wants to say nothing but...
"Thank you for 7 years. Thank you for supporting me. Thanks for joining me on this crazy journey. I'll never forget anyone I knew."
Now, as I retire Zilly, prepare to turn on the spotlight for the Triple Ms, my personalities, my characters, and my new life. This may be hard to accept, but everyone grows out of certain characters over time, it's sadly what happens when us artists grow up and become disinterested in our older creations. Today, right here, right now, I'll let Zilly find her own life. I believe her and Marcie will 1000% be married in the near future.
Zilly, I now and forever deem you a retired main of G3T-ZILLYF1ED . I wish you many years of well-earned rest, love, and happiness. May we one day meet again. Goodbye for now, old friend.
-Minori, with love
