I've Always loved the Banter between Danny and Vlad, and one of the recurring things I loved was Danny joking about Vlad getting a cat.

The cat in this is totally random, and I think that can be fair for canon. I mean, the first cat we saw Vlad with was a thin, kitten-like cat; whereas the second time we saw him with a cat, it was fat and angry.
