My dear friend,

I hope you are well and vigorous as usual when you get this letter.

It has been a long while since the last time we communicate with each other. I heard you are departing for the Far Eastern lands. Unfortunately, I, as you may know, could not go along with you this time – As the matter of fact, I am not even certain when this message will get to you. Then I think to my self, it might not be a bad idea to embrace the peaceful world and cut myself a break, don’t you think?

It is hard for me to imagine the extent of hardship and the adversity you must have encountered in your battles. You always make it sound like it is not a big deal, but I know those fights were never as easy as you described, even though I was not able to witness them in person. But, I know, at the first moment you step into Ishgardian land, that you will bring light to us all. Before that, never give up on hope. I believe you are continuing the wondrous adventure that you had on your journey, there must be so many interesting tales that you could tell. I am looking forward to hearing all about those stories, they must be amazing! If you ever need a moment of repose, come to the intercessory, you know my door is always open for you, my friend.

I regret not being able to keep my promise, not able to show you around Ishgard – and many other places. Please pardon my absence, I really hope I could join you in your journey and do whatever in my power to help whenever you need me. Unfortunately, I could not, anymore.
