I seriously can't be the only one who thought that, right? Right...? Yeah, I'm sorry. I played Ryu in Smash Bros. a lot before I decided to do this picture.
This is the second time I'm drawing Meiling actually. The first time was done as a makeshift Art Trade with GoatTrain when he first found out that I had interest in the Touhou series. This time... well I wasn't even going to draw another picture of Meiling. More like I was going to colour what I already had, but then I decided against it. Redo! and I think for the better.
I usually go Smash Bros. with these pictures (not gonna lie) but this time I went Street Fighter x Tekken. Seems... a bit fitting I guess. It's also the reason why I put the Rainbow effect behind Meiling. It's her Chi powers if you're curious, but I have to say... it's very colourful. Probably some of the most colourful effects in the game. Personally, I don't even know if it really fits Meiling's colour style normally.
But that's very minor. Meiling/China/Meirin, whatever you want to call her, is awesome. A bit lazy and incompetent at times (especially as a gate guard), but awesome. Good timing too because I am indeed going to Hong Kong for the Summer Holiday.
