Finally I have a new piece of work to show you guys! This is the most complicated composition I have created, dynamically and in respect to color as well. Its a bit bombastic but that is how I roll. Still sharpening the old stick so I'll be able to hunt big jobs. This picture took about a week to complete. I don't watch Naruto, so in order to ensure I respected the show, and understood what I was drawing, I watched 50+ episodes, 30 of which were in a row. Immediate proceeding the 30th episode, I listened to some Japanese music and ate ramen so I could express my burgeoning weeaboo nature. Guy Sensei called me on the phone and let me know how big of a bad ass I was for drawing him like the bad ass he is. Our bad ass natures collided through telecommunations so hard my cellphone exploded. You guys owe me a cellphone.Related content

Yeah...we all know who the real main character of Naruto is.
But the maker's editors' heads imploded upon reading the epic tale of Gai and Rock Lee, so he had to switch the story up a bit. xB

People can say they can't stand Naruto all they like. But no one can truthfully say that they don't like Rock Lee. Beautiful work, I get lost in this every time I look at it. Such energy!! Is this the power of youth? Either way, the coloring style is exceptional, I'm amazed at how powerful this image can be with such soft colors. I'm definitely keeping this one in my favorites, I doubt this is the last time I gawk at it.

haha, that's really neat... kinda like a um... method actor is it? one who lives the life of their character in order to portray a believable character? it's refreshing to see someone care about their art, and it's credibility enough to research it!
umum... it was a day or two well spent (i suppose) since you got all their personalities down pat... and the glow of the colors and their fading and building really almost gives it the illusion of being some traditional medium, like watercolor
i can say this is a very nice, and strong piece, and you established a phenomenal composition... nothing seems un-balanced, and you avoided a major mistake in forming good composition... there is nothing in the center of the image! everything dances around it, and draws your eye separately, in an organized fashion!
