Description
Once upon a timeThere was a child, with red eyes and light colored hair, even her skin was pale as snow- everyone had just thought that it was because of where she was left, or rather, found.
The light colored child was found abandoned in the freezing cold, upon a blanket of snow- with nothing but a note on her body, but the note left upon her had no intelligible writing on it. She was lucky to survive, as a priestess had found her in the cruel cold, and had taken her in, no child in the world should be abandoned in such a way that would leave the child dead, the thought of that gave the priestess a body of dread, she had looked upon the note and struggled to read it with this cold child in her arms, but soon enough it began to writhe and sob out, distracting the priestess: So she had run off with the child in her arms, wrapping her cloak around it to keep it warm and to help it stop crying until she got to the church.
When she arrived at the church, she tended to the child and tried to get them to stop crying as now they were in a safe environment. Soon enough the child did stop crying and was calm. The priestess had no idea what she can do for this child, but what better idea would it be if she took care of it on her own? she has always wanted a child all her life, and besides
a child needed a mother anyway, didn't it?
As the child grew, the priestess had noticed something very peculiar about her child’s eyes, and more importantly, the pupils and her strange heterochromia, as her eyes were colored a deep and passionate red, like rose petals on a carpet or blood upon snow, opposed to the child’s left eye, in which, it was pitch black, and had no pupil, no iris, just an empty orb of darkness.
the priestess felt as if she bought upon a demon into her blessed home- and so she covered her child’s eye as if she had felt that it would soon dissapear.. it has to, would it not?
but because of this, she had finally found out what she will call her child,
Because of how red and passionate her eye was, she had named her Rose, as her child’s eyes were just as passionate as the flower, but to the priestess’ surprise, there were vines of roses growing on the wall of her home
she could feel a heavy sense of dread upon her.
Rose was now 13 years old, her hair had begun to turn into a light shade of blue, anyone who questioned her why or how her hair was such a strange and light color she would just tell them that it was because she was found in the snow. she didn't mind, anyone, asking about her hair, she much rathered they ask about that than her eyepatch that was covering her left eye, because not only had it made her uncomfortable, she didn't really know WHY she had it, and whenever she asked about it to her mother, her mother would only remain silent. She would find out on her own eventually, maybe when her mother finally allowed her to remove the eyepatch, but it wasn't until she started to be bullied for it. The children would begin laughing at her, saying she's a freak, a monster, or even, a demon- not just because of her eye, but because of how light her skin and hair was, and how deep of a color her right eye was, it was almost, demonic, and her misshaped pupil didn't help her
she wasn't bothered by it so much, until a girl had pushed her down and proceeded to remove her eyepatch, revealing the pitch black orb in place of it.
She had run home, sobbing to her mother, and telling her all that happened, but her mother didn't assist her, instead, she flinched back at the appearance of her child’s left eye and began to scold her
“Why did you remove your eyepatch, Rose? you know you aren't allowed to remove it!”
“a-a pack of girls was picking on me for it- and they came up to me and pulled it off- I didn't know what to do-” Rose sobbed and choked up as her face was red from humiliation. Her mother gave a sigh and crouched down to her and hugged her softly as she spoke
“it is quite alright my dear if anything... I knew this day would come,” she said as she turned over and looked at her wall, swarmed with roses that were now just as dark as her daughter’s eye.
its been 4 years ever since Rose had been “Attacked” and bullied. She, however, had started to grow numb and used to the common bullying, abusing and removing her eyepatch whenever she had gone to school, but it didn't mean that it didn't make her feel any worse about the way she looked or started to act for that matter. But soon it would go away, at least that's what she’s told herself
soon, this will all go away, like snow melting on a warmer day.
So far, the only friends she ever made out of that time, were the roses on the wall, and a smaller girl named Sun. Sun was the only one who had liked the way Rose looked, in fact, it made Rose feel at least a little more confident about herself, and a little less alone, but it wouldn't be long now until Rose would begin to realize that she felt a little more vulnerable with sun, than she ever did with anyone in her life. It won't be long until Rose starts getting obsessed.
Soon enough she started to have dreams about Sun, and the ways she would be with her on top of that, but they were very...unhealthy ways. She would have dreams where she would stalk Sun, learn every little detail about her and would kill off anyone to harm her.
kill....the moment she even had thought of the word, she smiled softly. she was indeed, obsessed. and would absolutely kill anyone at all to come near Sun and hurt them at all. Sun was the only one who’d understand, the only one who would come to love them.
Rose will accomplish what her dreams have told her.
stalk, kill, watch. all for her beloved Sun.
Her mother had been feeling a heavy sense of dread ever since Rose started to stalk Sun, ever since she had started to talk to herself in her room, and pretending to be with Sun. The Priestess worried that her daughter had finally succumbed to desire, succumbed to her poor and attacked mind. She can understand wanting to be with someone who was willing to listen and talk, she can understand wanting to worship the ground they walked on, but with Rose? she was worried that her dearest daughter was possessed by a demon.
She started taking Rose to church, taking her to get blessed and such, even to a point where she took it in her own hands. she would dip a silver knife in holy water only to scar her daughter’s back, and arms, carving symbols as she heard her child screech
“don't you understand, Rose? I'm trying to get the demon out of your body, I'm worried for you, understand? I'm only doing this because I love you...” The Priestess said sadly almost wanting to cry as she couldn't stomach cutting her daughter, she couldn't stomach that she was hurting her.
But soon, that died away, as a voice in her head told her
She is Laughing.
Rose was laughing, and crying as she lied cut up, speaking backward and saying
“oh my dear shooting star, I’d love to sell my soul to you- id give anything at all, to be with you, to have you, my shooting star. of course, I’ll sell my soul to you.”
Soon, Rose had come back to school, but it was like, she lost every ounce of her being. No one has heard of her mother in months, not even Sun, or the Church.
Sun started to walk back home by herself, only to be shocked to see Rose...or..what was left
she saw this husk of her best friend, and noticed her eyepatch was missing, Rose picked up her head and looked forward to Sun, showing off her eyes, as her dark eye now, had a smaller white pupil. they were both glowing as Rose smiled and held out her hand to Sun as blood covered it.
“Would you like to go to someplace....special...with me, Shooting Star?”
