UPDATE 4/14/2023:

The Klyntar symbiote known as Venom has come across many hosts in it's lifetime: Angelo Fortunato, Ann(e) Weying, Carol Danvers, Eddie Brock, Flash Thompson, Mac Gargan, Patricia Robertson, Peter Parker, and Tel-Kar. Kron Stone is the Venom of 2099. Alternate Realities: Bruce Banner/Hulk, May Parker (Earth X), Normie Osborn (MC2). "What If" Story Runs: Black Bolt, Captain America, Deadpool, Galactus, Punisher, Thor, Wolverine. Other Mentions: Doctor Octopus, Drax, Groot, Harry Osborn, Johnny Storm, Lee Price, Malekith, Multiple Man, Spider-Gwen/Gwenom, Rocket, Thunderbolt Ross, Tyrannosaurus Rex, and X-23. Also any other hosts I may have missed...

Some hosts were good for Venom, some were bad for Venom, and some made Venom look differently upon/onto the human race for better or worse.

UPDATE 6/8/2021:

Who is this Spider-themed character? Well it's certainly not Peter Parker (for the most part.)

You see Peter Parker was the first one to wield the Symbiote suit *VENOM.* Some might say Deadpool was, but that was in his own mind because 4th Wall Breaking/Interaction (or in a different timeline.) But ever since P.P. found out it was controlling him and making him more mean ... he cast it away.

"VENOM NO MORE!"

But as time went by Venom's host had been Eddie Brock, Flash Thompson and many others. But just as Peter Parker was about to die, Venom sensed it but Eddie who was it's current host wanted nothing to do with him, so it left Eddie and sludgged it's way over to him ... but with Pete's last breath ... he accepted the Venom Symbiote completely which then allowed everything that Pete was for Venom to be.
- By now Pete's body is one with Venom so there's no host ... just the spirit and memories of Peter Parker.

So Venom goes out saving the city of New York as "Agent Spider!"

*It is unknown whether or not Venom (itself) is a cannibal as many of it's host had that craving. Knowing Pete wanted nothing to do like that it's a 90:10 chance that he doesn't.

Hero or Villain?

This is Venom held up into "solid" form by two gauntlets on his arms.
- Ever since Peter's death, Venom (the Klyntar) has gone out onto the streets of NYC as "Twilight."

Not only having the powers of mutates that it has bonded with over time, but he is the embodiment of Life and Death. 80% Life and 20% Death. It used to be 90:10, but something has infected and ultimately changed him over time.
- Note: He's a Symbiote with no host. Hence why he has two gauntlets on his arms to give him "solid" form.

He also has connections to Rage (white turning Red), Fear (white turning Yellow), Hope (white turning Blue), Will (white turning Green), Love (black becoming Pink), Compassion (white becoming Light Purple and black becoming Dark Purple), and of course Life.
- He dabbles in Death but only when absolutely needed.
-- He's also known as "The Phantom."

He also combines his powers:
- Willful Fear: Becomes Yellow-Green in color.
- Willing Hope: Becomes Blue-Green in color.
(Love and Compassion often intertwine with one another so this is what happens when he becomes Blue-Violet (via Hope.))
- When he becomes Red-Violet, his rage is fueled by his Love and Compassion.

He also has a Fiery form known as Fearful Rage becoming Orange in color.
- It is unknown whether or not he has other "secret" modes.
