Description Done in Photoshop. Again I used a simple Terragen-render as reference for shapes and colors. But there is not much left of it Even the surface got a new texture(sparkling sand - only visible in highest resolution )

This began as a study a galaxy's belt, like we see the Milky Way during the Night. But the stars alone looked a little boring and needed a foreground

Awesome! To think this started as just an incidental foreground....

Probably my favourite picture of all time. There's such a mysterious air to this, I love it! I don't really think the two landscapes collide too much either (though, not an artist, so my opinion doens't mean much), because I like the way the atmosphere is so low, as if the sky is overtaking the world (and you do have that brown tinge over a lot of the sky to help).

I love the surface most too. Immediately, I was attracted to those surreal rock structures, so unique!

Hi, this is very nicely done.

I think priteeboy has a good point about how the two environments collide. Personally I don't mind how this looks given this is nighttime and the night sky doesn't take on a tinge of light or color until almost right on top of the horizon.

However, it might've been cool to very subtly extend that sky effect upwards, and maybe imply some stirring dust clouds in the distance for extra pop to balance the land with the starscape.

I also like the creativeness of your terrain, although some of your standing stalactites seem slightly repetitive. Not repetitive enough to be annoying or boring--just enough to be noticeable.

Overall, very cool. It's great to see a spaceartist tackling evironments like this rather than just focusing on the planets in the sky and a good Terragen piece. Seems to me you take that extra step to push the whole "world."

I'd have to agree with the aforementioned comments that the galaxy is a little overbearing on the composition, considering the landscape. Perhaps some selective blurring would help here? Otherwise, I love the sheer detail of the galaxy, and the sheer creative alienity of the landscape - which is one of your 'trademarks' that I thoroughly enjoy.

Though the galaxy is the main feature, I actually like the landscape more, its the stuff of classic sci-fi illustrations, made before all alien worlds are said to be like Earth.

The two seem to collide too much, both the stars and landscape as themselves are great, though put together, I think that many bright stars is a bit distracting, like on the far left where the tall pillars seem to dissapear among the stars...But thats just my pickyness, its still attractive, and the first deviation on my watchlist that I rushed to see
