Redesign of the Republic Army LAAT.
Together with the AT-TE, my favorite SW vehicles. I still remember when for the first time I saw these go down into the Geonosis arena and save the protagonists... really fantastic.

But speaking about the redesign... as with the AT-TE my goal was to make the model more "real" without distorting its appearance.
The first thing that catches your eye: where are the turrets??
Completely absent, removed for a simple reason, they are weak elements. If one were damaged, the LAAT is left completely without cover on one side or if only its operator is injured, the gunship would have to land to help him (obviously I am speaking through conjectures and what came to mind by analyzing the LAAT better). The Covering fire is moved to the side door as in modern helicopters and entrusted to a heavy version of the Z-6 rotary cannon and its gunner.
The two front guns were modified and limited to frontal fire, gaining firepower. There are two 30mm cannons that allow the gunship to provide CAS, similar to the modern A-10, together with the unguided missile pods at the ends of the wings. Heavy fire is always entrusted to the two upper launchers and its guided missiles.
My LAAT has the possibility of expanding its offensive capacity with additional cargo anchored to the pylons under the two large wings, and to expand its operational capacity, it has the extendable rigid probe for in-flight refueling.
The cabin, with great visibility, offers the pilot the possibility to concentrate on the flight and firing of the unguided weapons, the co-pilot takes all the navigation and firing data of the powerful guided missiles.
The ventral door maintains its dimensions but the portholes have been modified and more than 30 clones or some light vehicles can fit inside.
