Description
On to the second thing I’m doing other than TWWM. July-Rassic is my drawing challenge for the month of July based around drawing species of prehistoric creatures from the Jurassic franchise every day of July. Currently it is Day 3, and I’m just uploading the three I’ve done. The main rule in this is that the creature has to be extinct before the K-T Extinction. That means Mesozoic and Paleozoic. However, hybrids count. Day 1’s Prompt was “Scavenger”, so I went with the Compy as my choice.
And, with every prompt, I’ll do a little bit of a writing piece to fit an altered design or just to do a bit of lore.
”Compsognathus, commonly called ‘Compies’ by many, are the most widespread of the dinosaurs that escaped Lockwood Manor in 2018. They are not afraid of humans and have been found as far East as Kansas. Recently, near several BioSyn labs, a new variation of Compsognathus has appeared. This variant is highly docile and feathered, unlike the unfeathered originals. They are prone to eating trash and leftovers of both humans and other dinosaurs, becoming like raccoons and rats.”
