Description
Every once in a while, I manage to take a photo that thoroughly upsets me. This is one of them. It’s a photo I took while my husband and I were on our way to Masuki at Ongpin. Sometimes, you see things like this that helps you put things into perspective. It’s just really sad that there’s so much poverty around us, and that a lot of people are born poor, struggle with a life of poverty, and die poor. It’s sad that a lot of people never find respite from such a life. I remember distinctly passing by this old woman, going back to give her some money, and keeping a respectful distance while I take the shot. I remember being there, but then looking at the photo again, I don’t know… it just makes me feel so sad.(shot with a Yashica MG-1)
