Description
For this tile I started with 2 close up pictures of Tenth street here in downtown columbia. I should have picked a street with more history like 8th street The historic avenue of the columns. Maybe it would have added interest to the art but inspiration happens where it happens. The 2 pictures then went through my usual process. They were desaturated and copied into the green and blue channels. Then you play with hue shift. This is a good point to copy and flip the layers to form a tile. After that I duplicated the layer 2 times and set the top layer to 50% opacity and hue shifted it to get some secondary colors. After which I merged the 2 top layers down and duplicated them again. auto levels on one and then blend it back slightly with its non auto leveled counterpart. merge and play with hue shift again.
