Another sketch I tossed in Photoshop-Realized how frustrated I am that there isn't a solid design scheme for Lydia's bedroom in the series? Sometimes the walls have stripes, sometimes they don't, sometimes there's a cloth on top of her dresser, sometimes there's not (sometimes it's green, sometimes it's blue), sometimes the poles to her bed and mirror are black and sometimes they're purple... my brain. Maybe Lydia just likes to rearrange, repaint, and refurnish things a lot. Or maybe budgeted animation, you pick haha.
Anyway, an elaborate excuse to draw older-Lydia with a bunch of cartoony crawlies.

Very fun and well done. I do get your point about T.V. shows not keeping things consistent. It's so nice when they do and frustrating when they don't. Thank god Teddy Ruxpin was consistent. I did a comic based off of that, and it made layouts so easy. I like your solution, faded stripes on the wall, bed posts with black shadows and purple highlights. Nice.
