Well, I've decided to give Dominance War III a shot. Particularly since there's a concept art competition this year, I have no excuse not to participate. ^.^; (Other than being embarrassed by my level compared to the other people's out there!) Of course, the way these types of contests work is that we post WIPs and get feedback as we work...so in trying to get as much feedback as I can, I'm posting here as well. ^.^; My blurb from my entry:

Here's a summary of my character:
Name: Lucifer
Class: Clericon
Artifact weapons: Holy mirrors

My basic thought process was that I wanted to be able to paint a pretty guy's face (hehe) but he shouldn't be just a human, as that's rather boring, especially considering the amount of freedom we're being given for the races. I also wanted an unusual combination of race and class, so I thought, what about something that we normally think of as evil as a healer? After some deliberation, I decided to do a fallen angel, and of course, the most notorious of them is Lucifer. I know using that name isn't exactly the most creative, but I'm aiming for the evil connotation usually associated with his name.

I started off with a basic angel shape, but IIRC, as a member of the Seraphim, Lucifer should have three pairs of wings. (I had been doing a little research on angels a while back.) Also, I don't think I want him to have a normal human lower body, so I'm still trying to figure out what to put there instead. I like the idea of having other fallen angels bound to him, but I get the feeling that's going to end up being too complex.

I haven't sketched his Artifact weapons yet, but he wields a pair of mirrors imbued with Holy energy through which he channels his will as they revolve around him. One mirror is golden--representing the Sun--and helps his allies. The other mirror is black--representing the Void--and destroys his enemies. [Note: This is not the same Void as the Darkness/Void magic energy. Both mirrors are Holy but twist his power differently.]

As for the forum insignia, the way it's looking right now, I'm thinking it'll end up being either a tattoo on his chest or a floating "halo"-type thing behind him.

Any comments, suggestions, critiques, anything you can come up with would be much appreciated! I'm still working on nailing down a good shape for him.
