Description I wanted to do something colourful for the Disney-clubs wedding contest fav.me/d8cslrj so I decided to try coloured pencils for the first time and let me just say they were harder to use than I thought they'd be! I had to do some adjustments and add a few things in photoshop.

Just before the contest started I had just watched Sleeping Beauty for the first time in over 10 years! Which inspired me to draw Aurora and Phillips wedding and I thought I'd set it in the woods where she grew up and where they first met. I wasn't sure what colour to make Aurora's dress, pink or blue, so I mixed them and made it purple instead! though I did add a bit of pink and blue here and there. I also made both there outfits match because I thought it'd be a cute idea
Of course the fairys had to be there, they did raise her, and I wanted her animals friends there too. For the outside I did the heart to represent love, the thorns to represent the troubles they had to overcome to be together and the roses because Aurora was also called Briar Rose.

Well I think I covered everything lol good luck to everyone who entered and I'm really glad I could be apart of it

This is sbeautiful, too many things^^ I especially love the tape that stick them together. And I also really like the graphic style, It makes me think to some kind of engraving. Very good job ;D

This is amazing! Just look at the detailed leaves on the trees. I love the border and the roses too... they're just beautiful. Last but not least, Aurora and Phillip look sublimely happy.

Wow! The color pencil work on this is GORGEOUS! And you say this is your first time using them? You must be a quick learner.
The composition and just everything is wonderful. Their clothes look amazing. The forest looks fantastic too.
One question: Why are their hands tied with a ribbon? Is that some sort of wedding tradition?

I'm so happy you noticed the ribbon, I knew I'd forget something   I thought a handfasting ceremony would suit the forest setting better and maybe the owl could be the one who wraps the ribbon around there hands, I really like the owl

Yeah, I lost. This is amazing. My artwork can't compare with yours. This is really beautiful and cool and realistic. And traditional, as well! I'd wish you good luck, but I don't think you need it. You'll probably win anyway!
