You've captured such a beautiful moment, where the old and the new are living in a perfect co-existence, and the knowledge from one generation is passing on to another. I just love it all around.

I love this. The contrast is great, as is the scene and the little boy's expression.

Ah, it reminds me of when I used to play chess with my Grandpa I love the warm feeling, and it's such a great shot. It looks like it could be an old movie still.

Hi,
Look, I usually don't fav DDs but here I should say that I was stunned.
Great composition with use of the thirds, a diagonal and models as balancing elements.
Excellent natural light and grain.
Appropriate exposure and good contrast although there is some highlight clipping but no big deal--it adds a lot to the scene. Only critique goes to the background that is not defocused enough and thus draws the attention a lot in a place where one might legitimately expect nothing special--negative space. Would have used a larger aperture to shallow the DOF even more. No worry--it still works for me
Great mood and impact--I love this shot!
Bottom line: congrats for the DD

this was shot open wide using 28mm lens, i didn't even think of thirds and everything else, just was trying to capture it while it lasted)

Awesome. It's great to see this kind of interaction from different generations of people, particular with all this fuss about not spending time with people because they are older or younger than you are... it's a very good shot, and a definate fav for me. Good work. ^^

Really shows how knowledge can move from one generation to the next if allowed to flourish.
