I love the tonality and the DOF of this photo. The border is a little thick on the sides for me but overall it doesn't distract from the photo itself. I like how your subject isn't in the center of the photo, nice use of the rule of thirds

the tonality is due to sunset color temperature, about the border you right i may be it's a little thick
It was shot with mamiya rb67 pro s on kodak portra, 160 ASA, 6x7 negative, and usual C41 processing. Used one of those 1hour labs to process it, coz their processing give u more contrasty negatives. It was also scanned on a agfa D-lab scanner, it doesn't give u the great resolution on ur scans but it has a digital ice system which removes all dust quite nicely, and preserves ambient colors.
I don't remember doin any major post prodution on it, i think just levels and a bit color balance, and i think a bit of texture added - that's it

well, it was shot in late october or in a beginning of november... it was around 6 in afternoon so the sun was almost down. Thats why i had to open up all the way. I think it's the best time to shoot, coz u end up capturing the most gorgeous colors of sunset, and the same thing with sunrise

This is a wonderful example of "a picture's worth a thousand words." This says so much more than words ever could. The expression and the fadded look of the photo makes me think of the song "Wonderful" by Everclear... if you've never heard it, you need to so you understand what I mean.
