Here is a futuristic map of the world in which the planet has drastically changed both politically and economically as a result of scientific innovation, intensified nationalism, and the colonization of the planets Mars, Venus, and Jupiter. To save the dying ethnicities that fail to increase their birthrates, human cloning is promoted, preventing a demographic change that would have damaged much of society. Furthermore, the world had also undergone significant changes that would give rise to new global superpowers to replace the old order.

The Anglo-American Federation (AAF), a strong, militaristic, democratic capitalist nation formed from the United States, Canada, Latin America, Britain, and Brazil, holds the most powerful naval force in the world as well as a form of cheap healthcare accessible to the vast majority of its population. The island nations of Japan and the Philippines were were incorporated into the AAF in order to obtain advanced robotic technology that has given them an edge in their scientific innovations. It is a predominately Roman Catholic nation with a strict adherence to theistic evolution with the largest religious minorities being Atheists, Jews, and Mormons. About a third of the AAF consists of Hispanic populations and another third consists of whites with those of German, Irish, English, and/or Italian descent as the most numerous. Gay marriage is legal in the country, but its constitution does enforce a child quota on gay couples that requires them to have at least one child via sperm donation. Clones also have rights, although some natural borns (or wombists) hold negative attitudes towards them.

The Panasian People's Republic, formed after the economic and social collapse of the People's Republic of China, is ruled by a totalitarian Communist regime based on Maoism and Marxist-Leninism. Although it claims itself to promote social equality, it is, in reality, a nation in which people of non-Han descent are subjugated within labor camps to feed the Chinese population. Koreans and Vietnamese are spared from such discrimination as they are considered "Chinese by birth" under the country's government. Religion is banned within the People's Republic.

The Greater Germanic Reich, the arch-rival of the AAF, is a fascist totalitarian state modeled after Nazi Germany with a predominately Catholic population, although a large number of Lutherans do live in Scandinavia. The Reich promotes a racist, social-Darwinian interpretation of evolution that claims the existence of a "struggle between the races" with the Aryan "master race" as superior to the rest of the human species. It is infamous for its genocidal attacks against Jews, homosexuals, gypsies, Eastern Slavs, Turks, Serbians, Arabs, and sub-saharan Africans, due to the state-sponsered eugenics program that it had established. Despite holding a worldview that declares people of Germanic blood as "superior," the Reich does allow citizenship to Poles, Czechs, Hungarians, Slovaks, Greeks, Albanians, Frenchmen, Asians, Finns, and Croatians. It is also known for its extremely Islamophobic rhetoric and maintains colonies in the pacific and much of Africa. The Russians, Serbs, and Ukrainians live only to serve as beasts of burden within large labor camps throughout what was once the country of Russia.

The Neo-Roman Empire is a Catholic nation formed by the Romance-speaking peoples of Europe ruled under a theocratic-monarchy. Like Germania and the AAF, the Neo-Roman Empire promotes the teaching of evolution and the use of cloning as necessary requirements for the survival and education of its population. It keeps a watchful eye on its northern neighbor out of fear of invasion by Germanian forces. Unlike the other nations, which promote religious freedom and secular government, the Neo-Roman Empire is strongly religious and therefore holds a strong disliking towards homosexuality. It also promotes the traditional roles of women and limits the number of non-Catholics, who end up paying higher taxes than the rest of the population.

The Middle Eastern Conglomerate, formed as a result of Islamic countries finally gaining peace and stability, was formed by powerful corporations that eventually improved the region's economy. Unlike in the past, the people who live within the Conglomerate's borders are not as strict with their religion and therefore live in mainly secular lives. Despite this, the Middle Eastern Conglomerate does have slight hostilities with neighboring Israel, which is under the AAF's protection. it is the only nation to prohibit human cloning.

Australia and Portugal are the only two nations that are completely neutral to the affairs of the outside world, preferring to instead enforce pacifistic isolationism as they trade with other nations. Africa is divided among the AAF, Germania, Neo-Rome, and Portugal both for economic reasons and for the sake of promoting stability within the continent.
