Basic concept for my character and my boyfriend's:
I was a pirate who had been burned, (see my picture) by a demon blade and thus turned demonic myself.
My lover, aka my boyfriend, and first mate refused to let me change him so I cut his throat with my own demon blade and marked his face with the same tribal symbol I had on mine so he was now mine forever.
