Description
.FROM:
the BODY collection in my gallery.
"this collection was very draining and very emotional. usually when people do self-portraits they clean themselves up, make sure they have everything looking absolutely perfect and touch up anything afterwards on photo editing software.
i wanted to make a collection of portraits of the body, and NOT edit any of it. and the face ones as an artist, i love. i love to see every pore, whether clean or clogged. i love the messy, unwashed hair and the hair on the face. from afar it looks beautiful, then when you see the full view, it's a totally different picture. as the artist, the photographer i adore these.
as the model, and myself getting my picture taken, i'm mortified. and after uploading "flawed." i tried with all my being to not delete it. i kept thinking that these are not showing myself in the best light and why didn't i do this? why did i allow myself to have myself look so unpolished for these.
the big thing i wanted to do on this collection is embrace yourself. embrace the human body. embrace yourself and your flaws. that's what makes you different and that's what makes you beautiful."
