Hyrule Warriors vs Miraculous
i made this with a buddy for a tournament awhile back where we both got a character from a franchiseCore Theme: Both are the central antagonists of their sources that control others and get them to assist them in their goals, and after their defeats, get usurped by another character that goes on to become the main villain.

Connections: Both lived the good life, having a well liked/important job(Fashion Design and guarding the Triforce, respectively), which all came crashing down due to literally fractured magic(Gabriel’s wife Emilie fell into a coma due to overuse of the broken Peacock Miraculous, and Cia was persuaded by a fragment of Ganondorf to seek out his other fragments in order to resurrect him, pushing her light away in the process)
Both give power to others and use them to attempt to defeat their enemies(Gabriel as Hawk Moth, Shadow Moth, and Monarch akumatizes people on a daily basis and uses them to take Ladybug and Cat Noir’s Miraculous and Cia empowers both Wizzro and Valgo as her generals to fight in the war against Hyrule)
However, they are not above controlling them as well if need be(Gabriel threatens his akumas with harm to keep them in line if they disobey, and Cia straight up mind controlled Valgo to obey her.) And this hasn’t stopped them from being “betrayed” by their own subordinates(Gabriel was killed by Cat Blanc, an akumatized version of Cat Noir, and Cia has suffered two defects from Wizzro)
Both ended up suffering to the point they actually die due to a desperate decision they made(Gabriel forced Cat Noir to Cataclysm him in order to escape, and Cia started fueling her army with her own life force)
They were actually usurped and put to rest as the main villain by 2 people they worked with, shortly after they died(Lila Rossi betrayed Gabriel by working against him, and after Cia “died,” Ganondorf quickly took up the antagonistic mantle)
Both use rifts between timelines to their own advantage(Gabriel used it to team up with alternate versions of Ladybug and Cat Noir, and Cia used The Gate of Souls to get different eras of monsters to join her army, as well as acquire more fragments of Ganondorf)
Both fight against a “good” version of themselves that teams up with the heroes(Betterfly for Gabriel and Lana for Cia)
