Hi there guys! GOOOOODDDDZILLAAAA!!! RUUUUUUUN!!!!...This is a Image I done the last year for Udon, Legendary pictures / Toho as a promotional image for San Diego comic-con for a upcoming Godzilla film. The image on the boot worked with aumented reality, (godzilla roaring releasing flames everywhere) and also featured in t-shirts.hehehe, hope you like it, I LOVE godzilla, I grew up watching the old Godzilla and Kaiju/sentai films, so this was a really fun work to do

I have to bitch about just one thing: His dorsal spines don't look as though they're shaped similar to that as a maple leaf. But aside from that, he looks badass as hell. It was a nice touch to show the start of his atomic breath rather than him already breathing on something, too. And, of course, the nice amounts of blue and orange, as overused as they are these days, look very nice and make sense for the most part.

This actually relays some of my fears for this movie, I know I'll likely get hate for this but I love the 1998 Godzilla. Now I can understand criticism people have against, critics saying the plot and actors were rubbish I understand even though it is one of my fav childhood films. But what I don't relay like is peoples hate for Zilla. Now I understand at the point about him being nothing like Godzilla in that he was week. I believe a member of Toho walked out during the premiere of it and said they had removed the god part, which I understand. What I don't understand is people who hate because of his look. I bet that had Zilla been indestructible, had atomic breath and has the original zilla personality Toho and fans would have liked him better. Hate the movie but not the monster (Toho loved the animated series godzilla). But I have seen people who hate him because he looks like a dinosaur. Well here is I point I'd like to make.
First everyone knows that Godzilla is a mutated dino right. T-rex, stegosaurs and Iguanadon were used in his design. Now back then people thought of dinos as slow moving creatures and that T-rex walked like a tripod so at that time Godzilla being a mutated dino was correctly portrayed. Now the 1998 was basically the same (minus being a mutant dino) They kept most of his noticeable features (well not the parts that made him god like) but updated him to our knowledge of dinosaurs now. We now know T-rex walked like Zilla did in the film ( or Jurassic Park) and that dinosaur were actual pretty fast. Had the creators of Godzilla at the time had that same knowledge is it more likely that Godzilla would have been more like Zilla.
Of course the other reason that Godzilla is the way he is, is because it was a man in a suit so that had to make him fit the human body. You could not do this with Zilla. In my opinion had the creators had CGI and the knowledge of dino like we do know it is more than likely as I have already said that Godzilla would look like Zilla.
What I am basically saying is I hope that Legendary pictures don't give into pressure and fear that they have to keep their Godzilla like that of Toho's. I hope they make theirs more like Zilla (in stance anyway and not look fat) but keep everything else that made the Toho Godzilla what he is today. I really can't see a creature with a fat tail and near stubby legs looking realistic with Jurassic Park animations and CGI.

Amen to this comment, but the more I see it, it's all gonna go the way that the purists want it to go and people like us who want something more intellectually challenging will be in the vocal minority, if never heard at all...

What's the problem with it being the same? I don't know if you've noticed, but aside from pretty much the first film, the franchise had made bank on Godzilla and almost always some other monster fighting and destroying Japan over and over and over again. That's what makes the franchise what it is. What would YOU rather see them do? A remake of that shit that was the '98 film? I hope not because, for as... decent as Zilla is, everything else about that film was terrible.

Ok... Let's just say you have a craving for chocolate chip mint ice cream, but when you get to the store to buy some, all they have in stock is vanilla because that's what everyone else in town wants.
It's the same thing with the fandom - they refuse to accept or allow anything that even remotely constitutes as change, so they demand more vanilla because they feel safe and secure with the same formula.
I'm just getting the vibe with the inklings come out more with the film's progress that these guys are being pressured against their will to give these so-called "fans" and toho what they want.
Say what you will about the Centro/TS cat-and-mouse debacle, it offered (or at least tried to) something new to the table that didn't adhere strictly to the monotonous showa-styled punch-and-judy show that people have now come to expect - and demand unreasonably - from the franchise.
I don't know about you, but i want some chocolate chip mint because i'm fed up with all the vanilla.
