the crane lady looks like a little shosuro, showing all her body....I've always think cranes (dojis and kakitas) are elegant and all that stuff....but, anymay, the job is fantastic, congratulations!!!

Someone commented on the people in the background looking like a painting. I'd say Genzo got it spot on.
The thing with trading cards is that once they are printed, the art has a very small area, just a couple of inches, in which to be viewed and "tell its story". When you have too much going on in an image at that size it becomes busy and the eye can't instantly take in what's going on. By having the people in the background, yet by muting their color into the background, you imply that this is taking place in a court and being observed, yet the eye instantly knows the focus are these two in front arguing, as they have a much more rich and bright colors.
It's another excellent piece, and will be in the Imperial Gift set, which is being given out free to anyone who wants it this November.
Oh, and a side plug, for those who play the RPG watch for the new Ronin and Imperials sourcebook coming out early next year!

I like the Crane more than the Scorpion, on the whole. But when it comes to diplomacy Scorpion is going to win out every time.

Jeah, Crane Clan is a bunch of Arrogant punks while Scorpion Clan is NO good. I'd stick with the Crab clan, At least they have a good reason to be mean
