Im a big fan of nintendo universe, specially I love Zelda and Mario games, not only for the gameplay, also for the characthers. Miyamoto is a genius!
A friend is always making fun about the "childish" look of mario, link, etc., the fun fact is he like the gameplay of Zelda games, but he hates how Link looks.

"link looks like a girl, you know what he need? A BEARD, MUSCLES, GRIMDARK, TEXTURES, POUCHES, MORE REALISTIC, BE A BADDAS MANLY LINK!!!"

This is so epic, I lost 40 HP from his glare alone. One suggestion I would like to make is that the sword looks like it is about to go into his right foot, so I think a different position (possibly more detail?) for the sword could make it even more manly (if thats even possible). Anyways, love the shading and dark colouring concepts. I think the best feature in the pic are his hands, they're awesome to look at because they're amazingly well done. I love his 'piss off or I whoop yo ass' attitude he's showing, and the cigar maximizes testerone levels right there. And the no pants thing... gotta love Mel Brooks.

You know, he sort of reminds me of a manlier version of He-man. I say manlier, because He-man has that girly hair style, and is less muscled.

The first time I saw Link with facial hair was in a There will be brawl episode, and I thought that it was really weird.
Here the beard looks pretty cool and you've done a really good job with the lighting. But was the cigarette really necessary? O_O

he doesnt have to be overly muscular to be badass, think guys like basch from FF12 and kaim from Lost oddessey, they are pretty badass looking but arent overly muscular. nonetheless, i love your artwork and this link looks like nobody i want to screw with anytime soon
