Description
This is the third scene from Book No.28 of The Railway Series (James & The Diesel Engines) and this scene was when the engines were talking about their lives.Gordon: Flying Scotsman and my brothers were all green. It was all very well in it's way, but now I prefer my blue. It makes me different, you see, and that's very suitable for an important engine like me.
Donald: The engines on oor auld line used to be blue, but nae sae dark as we are. Dougie & me never were though - we had to be black.
Henry: I like my green too. I'd hate to be red like James. People would think I was a fire-engine.
James: At least people can see me coming. I don't disappear into the background like some engines I could mention. If it wasn't for the noise, you'd need a yellow & black front like Mavis.
Narrator: Henry's protests were drowned in the laughter of the other engines and he went to sleep wondering how to pay James out.
