"Gonna make valentine chocolate with magic!!"Hope it won't turn lizard when it is given to your loving XD
Valentine related picture.
I started it in the middle of January, but just after spending a day off to put the base colors on it, my prediction, the estimation of the result was that it would never turn good. I gave up working on it but then, instead of rethinking of a new theme ( which would have taken another week ) I messed around with it again and...maybe, the result is not as bad as I had thought, if not satisfactory.
It hasn't been in time for the Valentine's Day, but at least it's finished.
Everything from sketch and lineart through painting and final effects done on Photoshop 6.0 as usual.

Oh, and one advice: though it might be easier to make chocolate with magic, I'd appreciate it more if you make it yourself by hand, regardless of the taste and appearance, you winged girl.

Very cool. you have some very interesting details, particularly with the chocolate I find. lol I tried to take my time posting a comment with this, in order to make the most of it. I really like the perspective of the picture and appreciate the background that's very un-distracting whereas a kitchen scene might have really diverted attention from the subject, particularly if it had been the typical, brightly-colored kitchen. I very much like her hands and her hair as well as her very, very beautiful eyes. You've done a remarkable job with her clothing especially given the detail, lighting, and the bends of the fabric. Mmm, in the future, I would like to see from you a bit more detail in the feathers. I understand it would take a great deal of work and from such an inferior artist as myself, my suggestion probably means very little, but I believe you could concoct an awesome look for feathers and a more "accurate" potrayl of such bird-like wings. A stunning piece, as per usual.

Thanks for your detailed opinion! Well first of all I've got to admit that this isn't really good work. The perspective works well as you said, and the BG, I thought of putting detailed BG but chose not to, to draw people's attention to the character, which you mentioned too. I don't like the outfit though, the clothes are too simple to be a fantasy. With regard to the wings, I completely agree with you. The far side wing yet might be okay while the near side, as you said, I should have put more detail on each feather. I might have had to show some feathers floating in the air as well. On the whole it's cute, but that's all, no depth of atmosphere, and that is what I have to learn more. Anyways, I appreciate that you tried to find out good points of this work, as well as make constructive critiques. Thank you very much again, I'll try harder so that I can do better in the next work!
