Description
Collabo' with *EnydimonWe did the lines in openCanvas, he did the left side of the picture, I did the right, but *Enydimon bugged out before we could do the colours. So now we're setting it up so that we can colour it in Photoshop.
The two characters in the centre are our characters, Eny (the minotaur) and Rocko (the gnoll), defending against a swarm of zombies, ghouls, and other icky things.

This is looking amazingly amazing already, so I've no doubt it'll look totally supergroovy in colour. I particularly like how you've both made all the undead guys look totally different. Variety is the spice of death.
However, there are some important precautions to take before you embark on your zombie splatterfest. Firstly, have you checked what they're trying to say? Many zombies have difficulty speaking due to their tongues having fallen off, and people tend to assume that, when they shamble towards you murmuring "Brruuuhhh...", they're trying very hard to say the word "Brains" in the sense of "I'd very much like to scoop out and eat the contents of your head". But it's important to remember that people who eschewed meat during their lifetime will retain their non-carniverous nature when zombified, and if you listen carefully you may find that what they're trying to say is "Broccoli". The Vegetarian Undead are no threat to the living, so you can save yourself a lot of hassle and quite a lot of money on dry cleaning bills by simply standing aside and letting them stumble past in search of a greengrocer's.
Secondly, are you sure that they are actually zombies and not, in fact, public relations executives? It's very hard to tell the difference, but a PR person can usually be identified by the presence of a personal organiser protruding ostentatiously from his or her (or, more accurately, its) jacket pocket. It's in no way necessary to make this distinction before you set about them with a broadsword, but the knowledge that you're hacking PR people to pieces as opposed to just a bunch of reanimated corpses makes the whole process that much more satisfying.
Finally, remember to pack a change of clothes. When you've finished mangling the monsters you don't really want to spend the rest of the day with bits of old carcass all over your shirt.

Love scenes like this. Totaly surrounded, taking a last stand.
Eny looks more passive and wiser. Rocko looks real violent.

Rocko is a nice change of pace from my big, burly dwarves; he's more of an agility and stealth character and he's a lot of fun to draw.

*Clap* You should do it on a larger scale. Use photoshop, add some color, some shading, and backround. This'd make a good print. As far as the art goes all I can say is to make the Gnoll's feet more dog-like. Right now they're more remaniscent of bird talons. Try making them equine, and giving them paws.

GH-MoNGo In reply to SBoggart [2007-10-12 14:59:31 +0000 UTC]
If I made the gnoll's feet more like dog paws, he wouldn't be able to balance on just two legs.
Thanks, colours are coming soon.

Eny's right. You just need to flesh out the size of the legs and make his tail a bit bigger. It'd work.
