Description
(Garrus Vakarian and my custom build female Shepard from the game Mass Effect 2, for those of you coming in who don't know the source.)Colonist, sole survivor, vanguard, full paragon... (All on PC - I haven't dusted off the 360 in months.) After not having played the first game when it came out, when ME2 came out, I played both back to back for about 70 hours of great times. I think my proudest moment was bum rushing Harbinger. It was a thing of beauty.
As much as I love femShep/Garrus, I have every intention of producing some Shepard/Tali in the future. And Mordin, Wrex, Legion, Liara... Also, Joker/Kelly. Really, there's very little I'm not inspired by with this series.
And yes, I have seen the single piece of concept art of a nude turian. Until we see one in the game, I'm going with it being just that - a concept. Why the smooth collar ring when everything else we see is scale or segment-like? I'll have to upload my own idea at some point.

The detail is definitely amazing. It's so hard to draw all the alien characters in Mass Effect! Must've taken forever.
When I first saw this piece I didn't know Garrus was a LI in ME2 but I've always pretended my femShep had the hots for him while playing ME...lol... so I was really excited later!

Garrus is cute. And I haven't even played the games. But simply the pose and expressions in this picture convey a lot of tenderness. I'm not much into furry either, so for me to feel tenderness about a picture including a clearly non-human character, you must have done a really good job.

I finally got into playing this game way late, and I too played them both for like 80 hours, unlocking every little thing I could. I was EXTREMELY excited that Garrus was a romance option for 2, and I so that he and Kaiden duke it out in the third game since I romanced both of them. Then again, I really hope that as much as Garrus and femShep can seem loving... The game almost makes it feel like something for them to tryst before they possibly run off to die. Here's hoping that 3 will let Shepard and his/her partner actually get to admit love rather than just comfort moments.
Ah, but back to the art. God, the words that I cannot express to explain how amazing I find this piece. The detail and care in everything is amazing. Even that godawful civilian outfit Garrus had on (seriously, Turian fashion is beyond me - those bright ass colors - it's hilarious).
I think of Garrus as inspired by lizards and cockatoos. Makes me wonder if his tongue is more hard like a bird's or long like a lizard's. O: I haven't actually read what the Turian Codex stuff said, but it's always fun to figure out what he might look like under that armor. I like what you've got going with the top half. XD Fleshy, covered in armored plates. And I love his hands! Not full-blown talons like I keep trying to picture (again, more like a bird's is what I kept thinking).
