Alright, here it is done. Not that great at drawing Pandas, but kinda made the Pandaren Brewmaster look like the love child of Gene Simmons and Baloo from the Jungle Book. LOL.
Tried my best with the background as well.
And for some strange reason Neltharion fits in the Pandaria setting, why? Because when I started stripping him from that armor he wears, and making him grow his beard out, he kinda looks like one of those Chinese Lion-dogs. Funny, huh?
And yes, that is the Dragon Soul around his neck.

Okay....
Um, do you like the image, or are you just wanting to complain about the next Xpac because I drew an image of it?

While I do appreciate the opinion of what is going on for the next Xpac, I'd like to keep the comments about the artwork. This image isn't about the next Xpac, it's what I may do for the next story of "The Adventures of Neltharion, the Redeemed Earth-Warder".

Actually that is what he looks like after he got redeemed instead of blown up into sparkles, and is slowly healing his body.
This is what he looks like if he hadn't fallen to the Old Gods, and what he looks like completely redeemed and healed.

Well, this is what he looks like before he became Deathwing, so, I would guess this is what he would look like if he NEVER have become Deathwing.
One other would most likely become Deathwing is Malygos who suffered a similar madness and since both Neltharion and Malygos worked on the Dragon Soul together, he would be the next choice.

The old gods only spoke to Neltharion because he weakened somehow in the mind -unmentioned reasons- and seemed an easy(and reasonable) option for their plans, where Malygos went mad in the "traditional" way.

No, they were the ones who weakened him because he was the one who could hear anything thing that went around the entire planet of Azeroth, including what was lying inside of it. As in the Titans gave him a power that came with a horrible curse.

There is logic in that even thoguh I never heard it as the problem.
The main reason the old gods "chose" him was because he started having doubts about the mortal's doings. The aspects were in total knowledge of the evil "down there". They were "given" how to look out for themselves, and Neltharion wasn't an exception.
So yeah, the thing I'm saying is that his doubts were the thing that helped the old gods in the first place.

Ghostwalker2061 In reply to Enferlain [2011-11-13 22:08:43 +0000 UTC]
I'm guessing you didn't read the books. The only time the other Aspects KNEW about the Old Gods was when Nozdormu told them towards the end of Twilight of the Aspects. They didn't know that the Old Gods were responsible for Neltharion's madness.
The only one who actually did was Nozdormu and he didn't do anything to stop Neltharion from becoming Deathwing because this was a part of the timeline.
The Old Gods chose him because he heard them first. But they also spoke to Nozdormu. So, Neltharion wasn't the only one. Yes, Neltharion had fears about what the elves were doing but those fears were actually concerns and they were justified. If the Old Gods hadn't turned him into a paranoid schizophrenic, he would have voiced his concerns, they would have done their thing to stop the elves and everything would have been just fine.
But no, if you read War of the Ancients Trilogy, no one knew except basically Nozdormu. Neltharion didn't know who it was that was talking to him, he called them the Whispers. And really, they were actually slowly controlling him by turning justified concerns into actual full on phobias. And trust me, after listening to voices like that, who wouldn't slip into insanity? Basically they broke Neltharion. Neltharion wasn't broken in the first place, they broke him.
His concerns for what the elves were doing was built on the fact he cared about people and the Old Gods broke that. They turned him into a monster. And then in the Twilight of the Aspects, Nozdormu finally reveals to everyone who it was behind Neltharion's madness. Holy fuck, it's the Old Gods!
I actually in the story pretty much put some more detailing behind what was already stated in the lore in the first place. I've done the homework. Trust me.

I didn't have a problem with the picture itself. The style you draw him is very unique and I like mostly all of them, it's just that it seems like you're turning him into an emo's sad voodoo doll or something shit like that. Without offense of course(if you took any) D:

Ghostwalker2061 In reply to Enferlain [2011-11-13 02:19:11 +0000 UTC]
No, it was just in that picture...I did something not my usual stuff.
Actually, what I've "turned" him into is basically someone who realized he suffers from a pathology which most when not treated properly, ends up exactly how Neltharion ended up, using substance abuse as a means to self medicate to stop the illness.
Emo people are little wimpy douchebags who like to complain their life isn't perfect so they dress up in black, put shoe-polish in their hair, and cut themselves just for a cry of attention.
Neltharion/Deathwing's problems is actually a classic case of Paranoid Schizophrenia which has symptoms like auditory hallucinations (hearing voices that basically no one else hears but him), anxiety, emotional distance (him separating himself from the other Aspects), violence towards others (attacking Malygos), argumentative (arguing with Alexstrasza despite her trying to that one time help him), a feeling of self-importance and delusional belief of superiority (name any one time that happened), and of course, believing that everyone wants to do some sort of harm towards him, (also name any one time that happened), and in my story, I complete the circle by giving Neltharion actual thoughts of suicide.
The real difference is that paranoid schizophrenia is a condition of the mind and everything really is all in the guy's head, where as Neltharion's pathology was brought on by real voices telling him people are out to get him. So basically the story itself is showing how a person who is receiving some sort of treatment for his pathology and recovering, however, such things are never easy. Neltharion suffers from extreme depression brought on by a form of self loathing and his new found alcoholism is his way of coping with his own psychosis created by the Old Gods. 10,000 years, they tormented his mind, you think he can just bounce back and be all marry after all that?
So, of course he's gonna act "EMO". However, his "EMO" thing is actually justified. He actually had shit flung at him one too many times.
I study pathology as a hobby because I suffer from a form of depression, (what good artist doesn't) so I applied that to the images. I actually found a character that I could draw that pretty much shows what I go through on a normal basis.

I hope they release the cinematic intro movie for the expansion soon. I still wonder who is to be the main bad guy....if any, they kinda killed off most of the classic ones. It seems to be more focused on the Horde/Alliance conflict, something I don't see Nel picking a side in.

It would appear the Horde destroys Theramore in the new expansion. While there are neutral factions, such as the Earthen Ring and the Argent Dawn, Lordaeron has always been one of the Alliance's strongest supporters. (It doesn't help that the Horde and Alliance are led by two hot-headed warmongers either.)

Makes me wonder how I could start this thing. We would have this wonderful fun time with Brewfest only for them to return home to Theramore for a few days and then....EVERYTHING'S IN FLAMES! I know about the Naval battle that happens which makes the Horde and the Alliance discover Pandaria.
Any suggestions?
Thrall suggested that Nel join the Earthen Ring, which is a neutral faction and of course connected to the powers of earth, which Neltahrion is the warder of. Just that Calia's an SI:7 agent stationed in Theramore.
So, the Alliance is gonna get Lordaeron back. Wonder what this would mean for Calia as well, either in the game or in my story?

I don't know if they'll get Lordaeron back, currently it's the capital city of the Forsaken led by Silvanas, who you might remember from WC3. While Varian did lay siege to it once, it wasn't a success.
It's likely that the SI:7 will be called to battle, in Cata they even managed to kidnap Thrall. (The Goblin players rescue him in their starting quests: [link] ) So I figure she'll be fighting the Horde in Pandaria. Poor Pandarains being trapped in the middle while those factions ravage their homeland with their war and each faction trying to convince them it's all the other side's fault. If Nel wants it to stop he's gonna have to play both sides...or maybe find another way.

I thought of an idea reading upon these creatures called the Sha that if the Horde and the Alliance bring their war to Pandaria, they would be feeding these creatures because of their negative emotions towards each other.
And I thought about Neltharion trying to stop both sides in order to keep the Sha from gaining power.

There's also the Mogu (humanoids resembling Chinese guardian lions) The pandaren overthrew them 12,000 years ago, and now the mogu have risen again, intending to claim the continent as their own. I bet they'll have some shogun-like figure leading them from the Mogu'Shan Palace, located within the shrouded Vale of Eternal Blossoms.
Why stop at trying to stop the fighting, unite them against a common foe. It happened on a few occasions that the Horde and Alliance teamed up.
