Description
[FYI, this is ALL Fiction, just a small insight on a FICTIONAL narrative. bye]- Sun Cult:
The Sun Cult, also known as the Eliocultores, is a group of Olgirs who rejected any diety-based religion and reverted to an animist faith. In their case, they worship the Sun God Thacotch by both animals, Humans and Olgir sacrifices. Contrary to popular belief, the Eliocultores did not base their faith on ancient Mesoamerican religions but on a mix of Neolithic myths. Their fame comes from their heavy use of gold for their attire and architecture. They are also known for their territorial behaviour, wanted by their supreme leader, Kriller, who proclaimed himself as Thacotch's avatar. According to their doctrine, the world had to be cleansed by fire, as it fell under the Great Serpent's deception and must wear golden clothes to blind him and his comrades. Many members conduct massive wildfires in the name of Kriller and Thacotch.
- Khorn Legion:
The Khorn Legion is a para-military organization that originated in Cambodia. Their name is a slight reference to the Khmer population, old folk who dominated the Mekong river back in the 11th century. They adore this population for their economic and military success. They go so far as to carve the word "phlech" (forget in the Khmer script) on their forehead, a trait also seen on their flag. Their reign in most South East Asia can be due to their military outburst after creating a diversion in Vietnam. With an open window for an uprising, plus their advanced weapons, the Khorn Legion managed to conquer SE Asia in a mere week, unifying it and naming it Khorn. Unfortunately, Khorn was not the utopia they promised. Human executions occurred daily. Olgirs lived in poverty, while the original members were crooked.
Finally, to guarantee their rule, the military government erased all traces of human culture, replacing it with the Khmer dialect of the Olgirian language. Ironic, as they became the thing they swore to destroy.
- Grey Riders:
Known for their psychic abilities, the Grey Riders surpassed physical limitations and achieved telekinesis. Their founders, two Olgirs by the name of Tymit and Amel, used synthetic drugs and many psychedelics infused with Adam samples to "expand their minds". Their breakthrough, however, made them reliant on glass containers to protect their brains, and the extended use of telekinesis resulted in cerebral palsy. That, and the increased risk of being possessed by a devil, contributed to the Grey Rider's fast decline. Their decline brought about two new factions: the Unclean Spirits and the Rippers.
- Unclean Spirits:
The Unclean Spirits are Olgirs who only want one thing, drugs. Their addiction-induced fury is enough to subjugate a small city to demand a tribute. The Unclean Spirits' most famous trait is their hazmat suits, modified to inject their favourite narcotics into their organism. Ironically, the oxygen tanks they carry to pump the drugs are flammable, making it their biggest weakness.
- Rippers:
The Rippers are the Unclean Spirits' more organized and dangerous cousins. Being a sister group, the Rippers also do drugs but focus more on spreading anarchy around them. Their ideology stems from hate for both Olgir and Human Society and a form of violent escapism. The Rippers' only goal is the hunt for thrill and the death of any obstacle that could obstruct their search.
Funnily enough, their hierarchy bases itself on the number of enemy body parts they collected, from which the faction's name. Because they are always under the effects of drugs, Rippers don't feel pain and use rusty metal in their armours, vehicles and outposts. However, some Rippers become allergic to drugs, and because of this, they get exiled by their own group. This punishment leads the allergic Rippers to commit suicide or, in the brightest of cases, ask for help from the Math Priests.
- Math Priests:
As the name implies, the Math Priests is a group of Olgirs who base their lives and research on Mathematics of all types. Math Priests studied maths so much that they made many ground-breaking inventions. Such discoveries were the Mathematical Equation for an Artificial Soul and the A.D.S System. So far, the Math Priests are the most technologically advanced faction. Now, calling them "evil" or rebels is wrong, as they are politically grey and only care about scientific and mathematical progress. Most of the time, many Math Priests share their inventions for free. The World Government outlawed the Math Priests' contraptions as part of their Suppression Policies against Olgirian Culture. Despite the World Government themselves secretly being a buyer.
- Bankan:
The Bankan, the Olgirian word for Leech, are Olgir mercenaries who base their faction on greed and money. Cohomo Dremak, an English Olgir born in Coventry, founded the group so they could live far from the indigent lives they all lived. Dremak planned to train his acolytes to become mercenaries and get rich with the money gained from each errand. Dremak's plan was highly successful, as his dreams for an honourable and dignified Olgir society were becoming real. Every client viewed the faction with reverence, even Human ones.
They eventually gained the name of the Coventry Salamanzas. Their reputation slowly dropped after Cohomo's death and the election of the new leader, Jusum. Jusum renamed himself Jusum Dremak to assert his worthiness as a leader. He then changed the Salamanzas' goals from a humanitarian cause to a form of economic gain. Since then, the Salamanzas were dubbed the Bankan as an insult since Jusum Dremak leeched off his clients and employees.
- Scoundrels:
The Scoundrels are young Olgirs who despise the tight traditions of their underground cultures and the suppressive laws of the World Government. The Scoundrels are not evil or ideal extremists like the previous factions. They are just reckless. Instead of acting as a militaristic organization, the Scoundrels behave as a bunch of hooligans. They're obsessed with sports, motorcycles and everything they deem "cool" or "hip". One such passion is with bones, which they use to create their amateur-made armours. In their cheek personality, the Scoundrels end up doing idiotic actions that often end in tragic consequences. There's also a sub-division known as the Wild Cats, but they play a lesser role.
- Acramanta Phamista:
The Accursed Traitors, named Acramanta Phamista in Olgirian, is the most infamous and ruthless Olgir-run faction in the world. Their only goal is to wipe all life to start the Alodin-Mot reign. According to their beliefs, which might seem similar to the Sun Cult or the Khorn Legion, the Accursed Traitors think that the Olgir species must wipe out both Humans and Alodins. The faction's ascensionist view places the existence of anything non-Olgir as a threat. For instance, Humans are enemies for using Olgirs as cannon fodder and Alodins, the biological fore-elder of Olgirs, failed to become Alodin-Mots. The Accursed Traitors state that the only feasible way to ascend into the legendary Alodin-Mots is thru heavy surgeries and possibly thru selective mating. Many higher members, such as the leader Akamotho the Enlightened, have atavism and base their entire hierarchy on genetic properties. Having a pair of wings is a sign of superiority among them. Traits like wingspan determine a member's hierarchical standing. Because many Olgirs are religious, the Accursed Traitors raid every human-borne religious institution (such as Churches, Mosques or Mandirs). Because of their forceful demeanour against their kind, all the hidden Olgir cities coined the name "Acramanta Phamista" when referring to them. To "answer" this title, the Accursed Traitors incorporated an upside-down Olgirian Cross, a significant symbol for Olgirs, onto their flags as scorn. The only faction equal in power to the Accursed Traitors is the Domus Brunae.
