Description

Tayaghul is the most prominent member of the Committee of Doors, or COD, a Bristol-based company of investigators.

Tayaghul was born in Scotland, specifically in the West Wemyss Formation, but moved for work in Bristol.

He lived to be 2000 years old.

Great War and Löwenstein Incident

As per the orders of the West Wemyss Formation, Tayaghul joined the Great War, an event in Exarizonid history that saw many Formations fighting each other.

Tayaghul's rise in prominence started in the last days of the war during the Battle of the Löwenstein Formation. Specifically, during the battle, Tayaghul wiped out the remaining Messel Pits Formation's troops after they took Gor.

It turns out that Tayaghul was a guinea pig for an experiment conducted by the Committee Of Doors itself.

The experiment caused Tayaghul to develop a Chakthai addiction and become immortal under the COD's control. The experiment centred around mind control, a piece of information gathered by Gor. The Messel Pit troops were a group of rebels. Tayaghul, controlled by COD, killed Gor's companions and framed them as being traitors.

After the war, Tayaghul became a war hero and a COD agent.

From then on, he was a mercenary in many lesser missions, many ending successfully but increasing Tayaghul's disdain for war.

Mandibles Incident

Years after the Great War, the British Isles fell into another war.  The Pulmonoscorpi and Brontoscorpi's respective nations opened a conflict regarding their dominance over the surrounding seas, specifically with the English Channel. Their objective was also to exterminate each other.

The southern Formations, including Bristol, allied with the Pulmonoscorpi and joined the war in their defence, putting particular trust in Tayaghul and COD. The Brontoscorpi could shoot both potent venom and deadly thunder from their stinger, so the allied Formations had to defend themselves. Scientists from the Bettle Dingle Formation then invented the Antiscorpion Cloacks, light vests made from the degloved skin of Chorts, descendants of the Exarizonids' worst enemies, the Fiends. The Chorts' rubbery skin nullified thunder and made the venom disperse into a surrounding area without piercing the wearer's shell. Tayaghul eventually joined the Liverpool Regiment, led by the pulmonoscorpius general Tikkal and his exarizonid assistant Vasehead.

As the war continues, Vasehead kills Tikkal, and Tayaghul discovers his plan.

Vasehead was a double agent working for both The Pulmonoscorpi and Brontoscorpi nations, stealing their respective technologies and knowledge. With the information stolen from the nations, Vasehead threatened to use a Time Freezer, a nuclear bomb-like device that freezes everything in a 600-kilometre radius. Tayaghul defeats Vasehead by tricking him into the Time Freezer's detonator chamber and freezing and deactivating the device.

After defeating Vasehead, the Committee informs Tayaghul of a scorched-earth plan and advises him to hide. Tayaghul hid in an abandoned house's basement. As he hid, Tayaghul heard the powerful wooshing of flames created by many Fire Winders, banned structures used for mass destruction (the exarizonids' worst weakness is fire). As Tayaghul exits the basement, he sees the charred remains of the Brontoscorpian city he was in. 96% of the Pulmonoscorpi and Brontoscorpi populations were dead. The survivors had to retreat in the Northern Sea.

Abkhazia Incident

Tayaghul arrived in Abkhazia on the orders of a rescue mission.

According to an anonymous source, a meat sack (exarizonid lingo for humans) is in a remote city in Abkhazia named Sannya. The meat sack in question was Doctor Henry Wu.

Tayaghul wore the "Liquid Armour", an armour prototype made from a highly mathematical on-Newtonian liquid called Liquidex. During his stay, Tayaghul learns of the Net, a bioterrorist group led by an enigmatic museum curator called "The Dove". After facing two resurrected dinosaurs, Tayaghul learns of the presence of two other COD agents: Spaccaroccia and her brother Tayaferro. Tayaghul eventually teams up with Spaccaroccia after killing Leprosy, a disgusting creature created by the Net (a piece of information learned with Dr. Trunko's help).

After fighting through waves of unspeakable horrors hidden behind his museum's doors, Tayaghul manages to reach the Dove's office, where he keeps Dr Wu (who revealed his real name is Cody Flohwer) hostage and guarded by Tayaferro, who became a cybernetic puppet.

The Dove reveals his wish to turn every living being into a virus so that grief and thanatophobia cannot exist anymore.Helped by Spaccaroccia, Tayaghul defeats Tayaferro and The Dove, not before the latter turns into his plan B form: a flying Giganotosaurus. After defeating Gigadove, Tayaghul discovers that his mission wasn't a rescue but an assassination to punish The Dove. Despite the victory, Spaccaroccia feels bound to reveal a harsh truth she found while exploring the museum's other side. The Committee Of Doors bought the majority of their technological gadgets from the Dove himself but quit his business with them in the days leading to the Abkhazia Incident.

The Committee, hearing this through Spaccaroccia's intercom, takes control of Tayaghul's body and uses him to shoot Spaccaroccia and knock out Cody, wiping his memory after that.

Black Tornado Incident

One day, for no explanation, a Black Tornado appeared in the middle of the Hellcreek Formation, sinking every city and their citizens into a state of violent frenzy.

The Committee Of Doors picked up Hellcreek's call and agreed to help them. After briefing a very old Tayaghul, the Committee promised him the retirement he deserved.

To protect Tayaghul from the Hellcreek Formation's dangerous environment, Dr Traol, a newbie scientist, implanted the Synthetic Nervous External Survival Module (abbreviated as S.N.E.S.M.), a second external spinal cord that attaches to any stinger (the exarizonids' version of guns). Tayaghul then takes a boat to Florida to enter America, and from there, he heads north to the Hellcreek Formation. During his journey, a headless spirit, supposedly created by the Black Tornado, stalked Tayaghul.

Tayaghul discovers that the headless ghost is Gor, who wants to expose the COD for its actions and free Tayaghul.

Gor reveals that the COD massacred the Brontoscorpi and the Pulminoscorpi for economic reasons, killed Spaccaroccia to silence her and drugged Tayaghul all this time. After battling Gor by letting him move on in the afterlife, Tayaghul pulls out his heart and destroys the mechanical parts indicated by his friend.

After that, Tayaghul infiltrates another boat to Great Britain. At Bristol, Tyaghul blocked out all the exits after revealing the truth to Traol, with him fleeing right after. Tayaghul finally burns the COD headquarters, killing the leaders in the process.

As his body breaks down, Tayaghul looks up at the sky, happy to see that at least Gor has moved on and is free.
