You really have some super renders from Terragen. Most of the renders done by people using Terragen that I've seen seem to be better than most of the ones I've seen in Bryce. I don't know if it's know how or quality in programming though. almost makes me wish for a single artist to do a comparison with similar image creations to get a better idea if different programming will really make a differnce in atmosphere and landscape renders or perhapse its the texture materials you get to work with. Oh well... random thoughts.
I do have to agree that the planet does seem to dominate the image more so than your terrain. If I were working in Bryce I would probably use a top view to help me move it back farther in the pictuer. I don't know if such an idea would be relevent to this image to make any difference in it's dominance of the image since size and personal preferance on positioning may have been a key reason for it being so placed and for it's appearance in your image. I like the slopes in your terrain and the texture is wonderful. Since I dont have Terragen and never have tried it before I don't know what type of presets you might have as far as matterials of the terrain textures but it looks very good. The planet texture is also very nice.

The planet need to be behind the atmosphere, this can be done by setting it to 'screen' in photoshop. Other than that it looks good see you around.
