I think I mentioned this before somewhere, but Zero had a couple of jobs before he became Aster's Chief of Defense! For a few years he juggled between working at a haunted house, a school, and his village farm before leaving for the castle once he turned 20. His village was mainly focused on agriculture, so he stayed on the farm for the longest amount of time! (also he highkey has a thick rural accent bc of his upbringing, but he can suppress it for the most part )
