Description
Catching my breath,
Enough with the running
This city has boxed me in
Giving me the illusion of freedom
I've been running for days
Escaping the walls of my sanity
The city wants me to call it a home
Giving me the illusion of freedom
I look at the clouds forming above
Little power lines cross my mind
Trees are reaching out from the pavement
Giving me the illusion of freedom
All the cars, shops, buildings, crowd
Can't all of us open our eyes and see?
We are all boxed in this city
And we can't break free
****
This is my first submittion with my new camera. The Canon 5D. I'm really exited about it, and I think it will be a love story. I will still keep using my Nikon D70 for Infra Red shots, and for a back up camera, but The "Full frame" monster is something I'be been planning on for a long time, and I finally did it.
Canon 5D
Canon 17-40 lens
Tel Aviv, Israel.

pictures
whoa
ok
ok
if light is all photons then what creates all of the different colors
its the speed at which the photons travel right?
i dunno
thats weird
thinking that different colors are like lights at diffferrent speeds
differen waveleghths
and light is like, solid
theoretically
its particals
so you can touch light
but would it exist if it wasnt created
like its a whole element
cnat handle this

The picture is #1 PERFECT and your poem also.
This are a few lines I wrote some days ago.
"staying in the world outside I feel this city moves in style.cars and lights and people's crimes.trapped inside this city's sky"

Reminds me of part of Old Belgrade (here in Serbia). There's a quarter that looks very much like that one.
Anyway, I love this shot, especially that perspective, and it's really interesting how it looks turned upside-down.
And congrats on your new camera once more. Great first shot
cheers

Another beautiful poem, and yes, many of us are in big metropolitan areas imagining we're free while technology and petty concerns/distractions occupy our time, making us believe we're free as we become further entrenched, brainwashed. I'm going on a road trip pretty soon to get away from it all, to see some wild places never trodden; maybe it would do you good as well.

The oblique angle allows for chaos to flutter through this photo. The title compliments it with the inverse meaning of the viewerβs interpretation (contrasting but poetic).

I love what you have done here, the use of reflection can be really great when done properly and you have capture an amazing shot and flipping it works wonders for the photo.

This is fantastic - the world turned upside down - visually stunning and moving.
How do you get such rich dramatic colours in all of your photographs?

I'm new to your work, just found it. And already I'm flabbergasted by this shot. An every(rainy)day subject, seen with the artist's eye becomes something extraordinary. Fantastic

I've always loved your reflection photos.. And this is no exception - especially not with that poem. I realized today that even after three years in the capital city, I haven't become more of a city person that I ever was. I don't think it'll ever happen, and I'm quite glad about it.
Great work! Have fun with your new camera.

Hi,
would like to know the composition details,
u have used similar composition in an earlier picture street crossing.
the angle the reflections.
r u using some mirror reflection or its after rain. or both.
the location the camera is a bit weird.
