Description
Four elements to the existence of life on our planet
The cold and wet water
The hot and dry sun
The air that surrounds us all
The earth that absorbers it all
The fifth element is the one that unbalance this equation.
The fifth element is us, the righteous humans
In the center of everything, playing god with this planet
Changing nature to fit our way of living
The sun is hotter and the water is rising
The air is polluted and the earth is dying
But we are god and we are right
We rather be blind then give up a fight
And this is why we go to wars
Coexisting seems to be the hardest thing
When we all are the most important
And everything else must change
The same way we put ourselves above others
We put ourselves above this planet, above life
The elements of life are what brought us all here
But the fifth element may take it all away. Us
****
A point to think about. Maybe to acknowledge our role in these elements. Maybe to simply learn how to enjoy this nature in a more passive way, rather than manipulate it.
I would like my children, and my children's children to be able to still take photos like that.

Also the fifth (sixth?) element - surprise!

That's an amazing shot, and I love how you focused on that branch rather than the walkers or the sunset; it really gives this a lot of depth and a hint of mystery. A marvelous shot, that's a fact.

Are you the original writer of that poem? if not, who was the original? I was thinking of using it as a quote in the beginning of a research paper, if that's all right ^_^

i think planet Earth will continue to live as it already survived far more catastrophic events than man.
the question is if mankind will survive itself senseless attitudes.
most of we have long forgotten our real "goods", the earths elements and the astronomical entities, and putted idealistic images of our selfs in their place. thinking that we are above all species is, in my opinion, unrealistic view of reality. putting our selfs as gods (not evil gods!!) is in some extent optimistic, if we use that illusion to survive in harmonie with nature not to control it ....

it would have looked awesome as well, if you made it so that the focal point from the wooden branch stretched past too the horizon, so the people were in focus too. it would have made the whole picture sharp, instead of just the stick. but i really like it
