Description
Free fallin with never looking down.
You may not know where you are heading, but who said that's a bad thing...
Living is a journey that always ends in the same place, it's all about the ride.
Free fallin with never looking down.
****
This was taken in Akko, Israel.
In the Old acre.
If you ever visit Israel, make sure you visit there.
It's a town with Arabs and Jews living together, and you know what? It works!
Colorful markets, historical heritage and lovely sites to see and take photos of.

I dont think i have the courage to jump if it was more than 20 feet up...... how high would you dare to?

I think this shot would be better if it didn't have that pier type structure on the right. Right now, to me at least, it looks more like a snapshot of someone jumping in to the water. I feel that if the pier was cropped out, and it was nothing but the water and the boy (or is it a man?), and it would also fit in with your description a lot more. However, this wouldn't work all that well (unless you photoshop it), since the rocks are there.
Also, the bottom right looks a little over sharpened. Is that just some odd light, or is it devious photoshopping?
The horizon looks wonderful, by the way. It is so sharp and crisp, I like that more then anything in the photo, I'm glad my eyes drifted from the child.

No photoshop sharpening. It's the strong contrast because of the direct light.
I understand your suggestion. It's a nice Idea

great shot, nicely composed. I hate to say it when i first saw this it reminded my of a 9/11 shot that has just had some publicity about it..
Everyone can live together, they just need to accept their differences and continue with life, i'm glad somewhere with these two groups has, i'd like to hope there are more too

This reminds me of the book New Moon by Stephenie Meyer. In it she describes some kids going cliff diving, and it was the first thing that popped in my head when I saw this.
Great work! ^_^ It's very inspirational. If I were to add meaning to it I'd say that the fact that the man jumping is just a sillhouette means that he's blind, and unknowing of where he's going to end up. Which I think means that he's taking a jump off of the edge into unknown territory, taking a chance he's normally wouldn't. It's a, "leap of faith" so to speak.

This person on the photo looks a bit like a devil, who fly above the sea or even walk on the waves of sea... Looks brilliant.
And inspirantionally.
Regards,
Chauve-Souris.
PS. I wish I could ever visit Israel... *dreaming*

even if you ignore this comment, ill still say what i have to say.
well... ask... a few questions.
that looks as though it, like 20 foot drop, wouldn't it hurt hitting the water?/
and how do they know if its safe to drop into?

gilad In reply to rioross [2006-10-14 20:58:18 +0000 UTC]
That is something to ask the jumpers..
They jump there all the time, so I guess it's safe, though scary
