Which one of you stole my yellow popsicle? ! ?****
For me, one of my best, or at least favourites
I was walking in Jaffa, passing the old ships in the harbor, when I noticed this group of religious kids, just passing time.
The capture, of the cute kids, up againts the red textured background, each with his own expression, and with the yellow popsicle in his hand.. I'm realy lucky

This photo really made me grin! Kids pull such funny faces when they eat, especially when the thing they're eating is really hot or cold.
I also agree that the background is stunning. At first I thought it was some sort of painted wall, but it looks like it might be translucent. Either way, it's really effective.
How would you have composed this shot if you'd had all the time you needed? Would you have changed anything? I'd be tempted to either centre it more, or shoot with an even more dramatic angle. Actually, if I'd had the permission of the kids and their supervisors, I'd have loved to have taken a shot of the popsicles from one end of the line to the other - that could have been fun too

Outstanding !! love the texture and the brillaint color contrast. The children are amazing, you were very fortunate to have stumbled across this opportunity, however I woud'nt call it luck. Your eye saw somthing many people would have just passed buy with out a thought to the beauty that you captured. Bravo !!!

Oooo. This is adorable! All those different expressions show off that age group's personality very well. And I love the effect of all those different types of striped and plaid shirts all lined up. And the hats. And the popsicles.
One minor thing, which someone before me has probably mentioned, you've got "popsicle" spelled wrong in the frame of the photo.

I love how you capture so much humanity in your works, wether using peoples shadows, the people themselves or the effects people have on the environment. Your style of photography gives us those a freeze frame of the moments where you can see the spark of humility, or the qualities that define us as human.

hahaha it's so funny. i feel like i can tell a story about each of the kids just by the expression on his/her face.
the last kid who is slightly chubby looks very disturbed that you are taking a picture! hahaha. like he is being caught in the act of doing something wrong.
and the second and third kid! hahaha i wonder why they are covering their faces
