This is exactly how I picture him! Great job. I can't wait for the next book in the numair chronicles but I hope Tamora eventually does a series featuring Numair and Daine's daughter Sarralyn, I mean imagine how crazy powerful she has to be with them for parents!

I think she should have been with Kaddar she wood have made a great empress. Not Numair he is 13 years older and I all ways felt like he was more like a father to her not a lover!

Love breaks all boundaries. May I also point out, considering the general time period Tortall is modeled after 13 years isn't that bad of an age difference, 12 year old girls often married men in their 30s or 40s who were "settled" into their work and had made a lot of money. My mother is also 12 years the senior of her current husband and in some parts of the world (mostly 2nd and 3rd world countries) young women are still married to men who are much older than them who have already made themselves somewhat comfortable in their trade.
Also, having a northern commoner (even a powerful one like Daine who was all but good as a noble) would have upset quite a few people and; given that she'd also just completely wrecked their palace, killed their previous emperor (well, tried to at that point), and had been branded a complete freak by probably 99% of the country... I don't think they would have accepted her as empress and she would have died relatively quickly due to assassination attempts.
I get where you're coming from, really. But when it comes to things where politics are involved, there's a lot less heart and a lot more wit involved.

It is a story and I love Kaddar and Daine together not Numair her gets on my nerves.I think Kaddar is a better mach she saved is life even thou she Wrecked the palace she saved the country and is the Dauter of a god I do not think meny people would have objected!
