Description man, it's been a hot minute since i updated the geday dex, hasn't it?   well, better late than never, i suppose. this might have been posted far sooner though if mr. water starter's posing and design didn't give me so much trouble for some reason, though. XD

but in any event, at least it's done now. let's move on, shall we?

GEDAY REGIONAL DEX

#003: Dombarbent

Species: The Barb Bush Pokémon
Type: Grass/Steel
Height: 4' 10"
Weight: 204.8 lb
Ability: Overgrow
Hidden Ability: Iron Barbs

Now at their strongest, Dombarbent become very confident and protective of their Trainers upon evolution. Even so much as an insult towards their Trainers may result in them curling up and either rolling towards the offender or shooting their metal thorns out of their shrub at them, so it's important to teach them to control their temper around other people. Aside from being a frightening defensive mechanism, a Dombarbent's Rollout attack can till fields faster than ever thanks to their iron thorns loosening and mixing the soil it ploughs through, making them all the more handy for farmers to have.
Due to their intimidating demeanor and sturdiness, farmers are also inclined to use Dombarbent as guard Pokémon, especially in greater numbers. When bedded down, they look like much like regular thorn bushes, especially during the night when visibility is lower. If approached by a thief, such as a person seeking to rob their Trainer or wild Pokémon trying to steal and eat crops, they will emit a low bellowing noise and stand up, making an obvious threat towards the offender. If the thief refuses to back down, Dombarbent never hesitate to attack them, and show absolutely no mercy towards anyone trying to harm their Trainer. On the opposite side of the coin, their loyalty towards a good owner shows no bounds. If they are particularly happy with their human companion, they will produce a bunch of especially delicious berries in place of their thorns for one week every year just before winter sets in.

Design Origin: Primarily based off of Diprotodon, also known as the "Giant Wombat," which lived during the Australian Pleistocene. It is also based off of shrubs, thorn bushes, and perhaps also barbed wire due to its Steel-typing and it's protective nature.

Etymology: "Bombardment," referring to it's ability to launch its thorns, "Barb," and accents of its origin animal, "Diprotodon."

#006: Pyralash

Species: The Fire Snake Pokémon
Type: Fire/Poison
Height*: 9' 05"
Weight: 60.8 lb
Ability: Blaze
Hidden Ability**: Deep Digger

*This measurement more accurately depicts the Pokémon's length from the top of the head to the tip of the tail.
**Deep Digger is a new ability; during moves that take 2 turns to initiate(e.g. Solar Beam, Dig, etc,) the Pokémon cannot be attacked, as it can dig beyond the enemy's reach while preparing it's own attack.

Sporting both a powerful flame and immensely potent venom, Pyralash is a formidable adversary both on the battlefield and in the wild. The oil it secreted from its throat as a Fuelapid is now ejected through its fangs and has become much more deadly, allowing for easier hunts. To capture prey, they first spit their slick venomous oil at its feet to make them slip and fall, and once the prey is down they leap out and bite them, injecting even more venom into the victim's bloodstream. One teaspoon of Pyralash's venom is enough to kill 20 grown men in just five minutes, so if encountered in the wild, it's always best to keep a safe distance of at least 30 feet away. Fortunately, wild individuals typically don't attack humans unless they are approached first and feel threatened, but there is never a guarantee.
Trained individuals usually form tight bonds with their Trainers by the time they fully evolve, so they are very careful about using their venom around people in order to keep from accidentally causing harm. In battle, they prefer to wait for their opponents to strike first, allowing them to coil up and prepare to strike. They are especially fast thanks to their legs; although small, Pyralash's four limbs help to propel it further faster, producing an efficient combination of slithering and skittering. Each of its toes is also tipped with a sharp claw, giving it not only more attack prowess but also better digging abilities.

Design Origin: Takes inspiration from a large number of venomous snakes, but remains reminiscent of the Tiger snake and Eyelash Viper like its pre-evolutions. Its red, yellow and black color scheme is derived from American Coral Snakes, and the shape of its snout is derived from the Hognose Viper. The presence of all four limbs is derived from Tetrapodophis, an early ancestor of modern snakes which possessed four limbs, and the modern-day Three-toed skink, a lizard endemic to Australia possessing a similar serpentine, small-limbed structure. Pyralash is also very loosely based off of eastern dragons.

Etymology: Pyro(fire,) and Lash(either to lash out at something or referring to its "eyelashes.")

#009: Marshoal

Species: The Drench Tail Pokémon
Type: Water/Fighting
Height: 5' 06"
Weight: 145.3 lb
Ability: Torrent
Hidden Ability: Adaptability

While it is much more diligent, intelligent and powerful than its pre-evolution, Marshoal still remains social and eager to please all the same. In the wild, they become the defacto leader for a paddle of Pontreme if they are the first in the group to evolve, as they make exceptional leaders. If one is not the first in a group to evolve, then it leaves the paddle to seek a worthy livelihood, usually close to an area that is densely populated with humans and/or other Pokémon so that they can use their acquired skills to aid the public.
The pressurized water that Marshoal shoots from its tail is expelled with far more potency than its pre-evolution, able to reach heights of up to 60 feet when pointed vertically. This pressurized water can completely douse small flames within seconds, and larger ones within minutes. The water stored in its tail also mixes with the Pokemon's biological fluids and waste, such as carbon dioxide, which can further smother fires, so it can completely smother just about any KIND of flame as well without any worry of fueling it. Its hide is heat-repellent and burn resistant as well, allowing it to more easily run into larger fires and rescue others who might be trapped. There have been several instances of both trained and wild Marshoal running into burning buildings and bush fires to retrieve people and Pokémon trapped in them.

Design Origin: It is primarily based off of a platypus and a firefighter, which is where its Fighting-Type originates from. It is also designed around the concept of social growth, starting out as shy and timid and gradually becoming more sociable to the point at which one is seen as a great member of the community. It is also conceptually based around an awkward kid or teenager growing up to be much more attractive(e.g. "Be careful who you call ugly in middle school.")

Etymology: Marsh, Shoal. Marshal(as in fire marshal.)
