I know it’s not the usual angst everyone is up to. But… I think THIS was the most important part of this episode.
I mean, looking Dewey act childlike is amazing, watching Donald being 90% angsty about everything because of Della is amazing too. But this scene about Dewey and Selene was… I don’t know, it actually broke me in pieces.
Imagine this, that the spear was actually a real spear and Della took it, Dewey’s heart would be destroyed in pieces, a child with a broken heart and his illusions and dreams broken is actually a thing I watched time ago when my uncle told my cousin that the mouse of teeth (latin tooth fairy tbf) wasn’t real. I felt how she broke. It was something horrible.
And during this episode, with the blue triplet trying to discover what the hella happened to Della but being insecure about it… I was like “Oh no breaking a childs ilusion please no”. But then Selene appears, and she’s actually a good girl, she’s Della’s bestie/GF/Whatever, She met Della and she thinks Della was the best person she ever met. She tells this to Dewey, not only recovering his illusion about momma Della being a hero but about raising his hope, the hope that Della was the best person he could ever met.
I wish this little guy finds his mom, please give him his mom.
