Fall is definitely on its way. I can see the tops of my mountains shifting from rich greens to vibrant shades of orange. I went to many fruit stands this past month, obsessed with the pumpkins. The more twisted, warped, lumpy and imperfect the pumpkin, the greater my desire to claim it. Thank you to the farmers who have dedicated your lives to growing such wonderful, little gems.
I wanted the first painting I posted to reflect this feeling, along with my adoration of the color pink. As it has been some time since I last did a still-life piece I chose to roll all three ideas into one and created Pink and Pumpkins. My next project will have me diving back into the world of black and white.
